New attractions coming to HS and MK and height limits

So going with that math of 1,250 for the backlot trams I found out one tram of 200 people left every 4 minutes so 60/4=15 15 trams an hour. 200 times 15=3,000 now add the 1,250 and it’s 4,250, which is much closer to those four attractions listed. Now factor in that the average ride you listed last wayyyyyy less time. I think if you add up all the ride times combined they still equal less time than one of the removed things. But like @disneygolfer1985 said, that’s more opportunity to spend money and charge for lightening lanes.
So I did a quick check. Ride times of the new rides:
Rise of the resistance: 18 minutes
Smugglers run: 5 minutes
Slinky dog: 2 minutes
Alien saucers: 2 minutes

The new rides are less than 30 minutes; whereas, the backlot tour alone was 35 minutes so it is shorter rides for the ability to have people spend more money to not wait in lines or buy merchandise.

I stopped going to the Backlot Tour after the first decade. It was fun at the time, but would be irrelevant today. Some of the stuff back then were already archaic to me, I don't see how the younger generations could find them interesting.

Osborne lights were just at night but the streets of America were packed from 5:30 until park closing so it helped moved the crowds around and you didn’t have to wait in lines. That’s kind of my main point by removing rides that were long rides. Maybe the capacity wasn’t as high based on some research but you were not waiting in a line for an hour and actually doing something. Now all the new rides usually have an hour wait for a max 5 minute ride.
Interesting. A lot of the shows stop at around 5 or 6 pm, like frozen and beauty, beauty and the beast and Disney junior and the others, plus a lot of character meet and greets also end towards 5-6pmish. Maybe that could absorb some of the late evening crowds because the stuff to do at Hollywood studios drops a lot around 5-6pmish

Wow my suspicion was right it is less than 30 minutes and every single one of those rides has a height limit. Big difference and two of those rides regularly have the longest wait times of over an hour plus. It really changes the desirability of the park for little kids.

we don’t have a TV in my house and my kids get basically zero screen time, they find everything interesting including living with the land, which they ask to go on. Backlot tour was at least as interesting as living with the land (which was better when they had a live guide on each of the boats).

Most kids don’t require much to be entertained on a ride since it’s all new stimuli and unique. Especially some of the scenes on backlot tours. Disney could always adjust rides and make things slightly different like they have done on guardians. But they don’t and things can get stale

I see younger kids on those rides all the time (especially the ones in TSL).
