I just checked and I got a room-only discount at GDT. Sadly, I had to settle for a Water VIew King Bed but I guess I'll just have to suck it up.

Originally had Coronado with BB for May. Saved $515 by switching to POP with AP discount. A little bummed to downgrade but that's a LOT of mickey bars, plus we won't have a car so the Skyliner will be a plus. To ease the pain I booked 1 day with DP at Coronado before our main stay at POP. We'll be able to enjoy the hot tub, pool, 3 Bridges, and rooftop fireworks for the 1st day then have them transfer our luggage to POP. A little hassle but hopefully best of both worlds. Do you agree?

I think the hassle of moving can be outweighed by what else it makes possible. Sounds like you’re starting your trip enjoying that resort. Totally worth it

Yeah, you're right. It's just a nice perk to have my own bed on vacation. There looks to be 2 Queen Water View rooms available, but not at a discount.

I'm totally confused because GDT will not let me book 9 nights consecutively in a Tower 2Q Water VIew. It's states 2Q Water View is not available for those 9 nights. If I break it up into 3 nights and then 6 nights it states that Water VIew 2Q is available for all those nights. Am I missing something?

Yeah, you're right. It's just a nice perk to have my own bed on vacation. There looks to be 2 Queen Water View rooms available, but not at a discount.

Maybe it’s worth checking back a few more times?

Yeah that is odd, but honestly not surprising since coming across many booking quirks myself.

If 9 nights in 2Q room is your preference/goal, I’d try booking both then call to discuss ability to combine.

Yeah, I booked both 3 nights and 6 nights, but now I have to pay 2 deposits.

I had a BB booked for 11 nights at CBR in a preferred room. It was during 4th of July and the 2nd-6th were excluded for the
discount. I switched to 7 nights preferred room CBR and 4 night Deluxe savannah view at AKL Kidani and still saved over $600!

Changed my reservation again and now I have 1 night and 8 nights. Still can't get that first night to show unless I book seperately.

I checked because I was curious, and the new AP summer discount is exactly the same as the bounceback rate for my dates in July for POFQ. That's one excellent discount.
