New AP and FP+

If I purchase an AP now but can't activate it until I arrive at the park in later January, does that mean I can't select FP+ at 30 days out since I won't have a valid ticket linked in MDE? Or can a "non-activated" AP be linked in MDE?

You can use it to reserve FP. From the FP FAQ Post #2:

A guest must have valid ticket media linked to their name on this account. In most situations, ticket vouchers (including those for Annual Passes) can be linked as well as tickets from third-party resellers such as Undercover Tourist.
