Kind of feel a little bad for Jonathon even though he's a total jerk. Every comment on the FB page is how much they hate him. That has to put you in a funk.

We just finished the season and it's my first check-in on this thread. I presume we're going "no spoilers"? I was disappointed. I wanted the second place team to win. They weren't my original "team" but they really grew on me over the last few legs. Alas, my favorites usually wash out less than half-way through and did so again this time.

I suppose the nurses were my team of the last four, but when they dithered over using the fast pass, they lost me. I didn't like any of the top three. I fast-forwarded through much of the last leg because it was pretty boring. How many shots of someone falling in the water do we need to see?

I was thrilled with the winning team! They had a great combo of skills, enough athleticism to complete those challenges, plus the brain skills. Abs perseverance . One leg they were sooooo far behind, but didn’t give up , and managed to come in second to last, avoid elimination . I did also really like the 4th place finishers, would’ve been happy for them too. Glad the second place team came from the middle/ back if pack to have a shot, but overall , the winners were great racers the whole time. So happy for them !

I read a post race article interview with Jonathan and Ana and he was diagnosed with autism. I’m not sure if that explained his behavior of acting like a jerk to her because he was out of his element?

People get a little too invested in reality shows at times. I thought he acted like a jerk, but the comments that people can direct towards people on these shows can be way over the top.

I would go to the official FB page to see what people thought about the episode and instead every single comment was about him. I think the problem was she really wasn't fighting back the way people wanted her to. I just hope they got it together when they returned home. His two daughters are the ones who will really suffer from it.

Personally, we were fascinated!! Having tried an activity similar to that ourselves, it is hella hard and I can totally see how it took them 20+ tries. I always like seeing people do things that I do/have done. Some of their struggles are quite comical. One thing I’ve always loved about the race is the weird variety of challenges they have; you never know what obscure knowledge or life experience is going to end up being a big advantage.

And am I the only one that plays along by deciding with DH which one of us would be doing which roadblocks?

of course, I always do that! I also think we would rock navigation as long as my husband was driving.

My wife and I decided years ago that we would never be able to do TAR. One of us would kill the other one by leg 2. It would make for great TV, though.
