New $50 coupon at Alamo for pick-up by Feb. 6th, unbelievable rates !

I thought I couldn't get a better rate but I did. Found a new mousesavers coupon for $50 off at Alamo. I tried it the other night and it wasn't accepting it. Tried it again tonight and presto, it worked

$228 for a Standard SUV for 10 days inclusive of everything (additional driver too)

I had a midsize SUV for $10 more booked but I figured I'd go with Full Size just for fun
Could have gotten the mid size SUV for around $208

I didn't sign up for the quick silver but did use the "save time" feature online to enter all my info except credit card. Hopefully the line won't be too long but I'll be patient and pick up the car while DW waits for our bags.

Now, let's get some help here people. Should I cancel my National rate of $162 for the Emerald Aisle? It's only $23 we're talking about here.

save $23 and guaranteed an SUV, choice seems simple to me. Unless you were hoping to get something else, like a van or convertible. Then again you might get stuck with a full size or even an intermediate

Hopefully they don't run out of SUV's before I get there !

If you are willing to prepay, that is where the extra savings comes in to play.

When requesting a reservation type in PREPAY (all caps) under the rate code box. That should knock the midsize down to $139.

I've decided I'm going to take it, just because of the 2 p.m. arrival of my flight.

I am traveling in august and just can't get a great rate with alamo. Last year he base rate for an suv was 200.00. Now the base rate is much higher

OK thanks that works. You can't have anything in the ID box, I was trying to use the Wal-mart one too. It does accept the coupon and you're right, the rate got lower. Unbelievable...

My rate would drop about $15, not sure if I want to re-book for that. Now I'm thinking of re-booking with a Midsize SUV to save more money. We don't really need a full size, I was just being greedy

Now I can't decide... Midsize SUV would be $193.76 for 10 days for me. Standard SUV is $213.67 (with prepay).

Anyone have any problems with prepay and using a coupon ? It accepts it online so I can't imagine it would be a problem. The Prepay negates the free additional driver as you can't put the Wal-mart ID in but my wife wasn't going to drive anyway.

I couldn't get the "PREPAY" to work either. I would have prepaid if I could have. Not sure what I did wrong. Oh well, I am happy to have saved $70.
