I was considering making ressies for my kids to go to the Neverland club (is that what it's called? the club @ the poly?) but I read the kids have to be 4 years old.

My daughter will be 2 months shy of 4, is very well spoken for her age, and will have been potty trained for more than 2 years at the time of our trip.

Would they take her, or are they very strict about the age requirement?

TIA!

If you know it will go well I would send her and not say a peep about her age.

Yes, they are very strict. It's a legal issue because the kids' clubs would be subject to different caregiver/child ratios if they accept kids under 4. I know I had to give DD's birthday when we made our first resort reservation back in 2007 and they still have it on file when I've made subsequent reservations. And the people at the Neverland Club might just ask your DD her age. Would you want her to lie?

good points on both side of the argument LOL! Dh says to call and ask, if they say no, then it's no. Dd can't lie to save her life - she can't even fib to keep a gift a secret LOL (not that I'd ever teach her to lie). . . I guess I'll just call and ask. Thanks :)

A friend of mine tried and was told a firm no. Her son was two months shy of 4 as well.

Just out of curiosity, do they accept children with autism? DS5 is autistic and I was wondering if this could be an option for us. I also have a DS6, what is the cut off age? Thanks, Kim :flower3:

I am not sure about your son with autism. I would call and ask. As for the ages, it is for kids 4-12. My boys have been twice and they love it there.

Officially the ages for the kids club is 4-12.My niece was shy of it by a few WEEKS and they gave us a FIRM NO.It is not a disney thing, but a Childcare law thing regarding ages and ratios of caregivers. They do not require PROOF, HOWEVER, they do have your childs info from your resort ressie, and they can and DO ask the child their age occasionally. Also to take into consideration, if something were to happen while there( injury etc), there would be little to nothing you could legally do if you were found to have lied about the childs age in the first place.

I totally agree! I wouldn't try to wiggle around the rules pertaining to childcare. It's not quite the same as being barely three and not wanting to pay for a buffet or an expensive admission ticket. Although my conscience would get me if I tried that too. If something did happen while your child was in their care it could very well affect your legal recourse. I know it's tempting, but I wouldn't do it. It could also be very embarassing if you were called out on it. :flower3:

A relative of mine tried this with her son at age three, telling him that "he was still two right?" Her son replied "You be two! I'M 3!!!"

There is a kids night out, available. They come to your hotel room, and will take them to the play ground, give them dinner, and play games. I had no problems with it at all. Don't break the rules, to much at risk. I have done KNO before DD was 4, and she liked it. Not 5, she LOVEEEES Sand Castle Club (at BCV)... Take her to Neverland next year :)
