Neverland club open during day to check out?

I thought I read somewhere you could "visit" neverland club during the afternoon. Something like an open house, before 4pm. Is this correct and if so, can kids play there? We will be arriving before 3pm and I thought it might be a good time for us to check it out if our room isn't ready at arrival.....and hopefully utilize it later in the week....just wondering.
Also do you think you have to make reservations prior to arrival for trip mid-May or would you be able to make them last-minute?

Here are some pictures of the Sandcastle club at the BC so that you can take a look. I don't know what time they open to go check it out. We did go after they opened to check it out and the kids liked it so much they asked to stay right there and then.

open from 12:30-4:00 but you have to stay with your child at this time. It's just a time for your child and you to look around, and I'm sure it's ok to play so you can see what it's all about.

When I called the Neverland Club directly, they told me 1-2 days before for a ressie should be fine in May. They also told me that many times you can get your child in last minute.

Thanks so much for the link to your pictures! We are staying at the BCV in June, and my kids were not happy about staying at the club. I have been to WDW 7 times and have never been to PI or Boardwalk (nitelife) so we really wanted to this time. I showed the boys the pictures and now they really want to try the club and even maybe for more than one night! They are 12 and 9 and thought the clubs were for babies and little kids, I told them about the computers and video games, but I guess they had to see them for themselves.

my kids don't normally like going to the kids clubs either but they loved the Sandcastle Club and asked to go to it all the time.

Tracie I would check with the club you are thinking of sending them to. I believe I read somewhere that the cut off age is 11 so your 12 year old would not be able to go.

The ages for the kids clubs are 4-12
