Never to early for Disney; Planning w/a infant; Baby's first trip! - Nov. 2016 PTR (Update 9/14)

I haven't posted an update in a while, there hasn't been much planning I'm down to 121 days though :) :yay:
So what have I done:
  • I was able to book an earlier flight because my original time changed which would of made us arrive a few hours later. I'm very happy because that was the flight I originally wanted but I couldn't bring myself to spend $500 more for it.
  • I have purchased some cute outfits for my sons & niece, even bought her a Princess Jasmine costume.. (My sister in law hasn't contributed any more money in the past few months when our agreement was $50/month so I have chalked it up to us taking a loss on the money, It is what it is at this point.)

(The boys have reverse colors, Black sleeves and yellow shorts for the baby)
    • I purchased both my niece & son ION cameras which are basically like go pros, they can go underwater and are pretty sturdy.. I am a huge clearance shopper and was able to purchase them for $7.00 each. --->Side note: I also bought a Canon SL1 DSLR for $65 with my clearance shopping! So our photos are hopefully going to be amazing this year!
    • I made a some what great investment in a cricut explore machine... I can now make pretty much any shirt and design, its going to save us alot since I was going to just purchase them on etsy. I have already made some cute designs!

So not Disney trip related but our babys first birthday is in less then a month, its going to be mickey mouse themed we bought him a cute Mickey tuxedo outfit off of the Disney Store online for pics, he can also wear it down there.

Another big update is I am now a official Disney Travel Agent!! I looked into it a few weeks back, submitted my resume, got the position and just finished my training with Disney's College of Knowledge :) So excited to start selling trips to my friends & family, this job is pretty much made for me!:magnify:

Congratulations on becoming a Disney Travel Agent! I've been contemplating doing that for awhile now and need to just get off my butt. I also don't know exactly where to start, there are so many agencies out there! Also don't have a resume.....haven't worked in about 15 years.......

Love the Mickey tuxedo outfit, it's adorable. And the Jasmine shirt you made with the cricut. I am the least creative person in the world and any attempt I make at trying to do something "artsy" ends badly lol. Last year I bought some Mickey head iron-ons from Etsy. The first one I attempted to iron-on I completely messed up so I scrapped the whole idea!

I was in the same boat, I was googling Disney Travel Agent and pretty much contacting every single legit website. I ended up talking to a woman who is in a November Disney Facebook group, she works for a specific company so I applied with them (as far as applying goes they just ask how often you travel, where you have stayed in the past basically Disney related questions. I then received an email back from the owner, then a phone interview, followed by another email... He set up my account with the Official Disney TA website & I started my training. One tip I will tell you if you start looking, if company's want you to pay money upfront thats not a good sign. The only thing I paid for is my email address (and thats optional) as well as business cards (optional as well).
Disney sends the company 10% of the trip I book, I get 6% the company gets 4%... Not a terrible trade off especially if you book a $5,000 trip I would get $300.
Its def. somthing you should look into if you really love disney planning!

So its been a while since my last update...
Since then our baby Greyson turned One!!! (This is the outfit we are taking to Disney with us too.)

Now onto my current Disney Planning!
I've started making spreadsheets for each day of what I would like to do in addition to to the FP+ selections I want & Child Swap that will happen... My FP+ day is in 6 days!
Less then a week away and I will be 60 days out! :yay:
I am very nervous because the way I have created my schedules are very vital on my FP+ happening within a half hr-ish either way of my hopeful time spot.
I got very lucky with my dining and literally got everything I wanted if not at the exact time within 15min... So we shall see how it goes!
Luckily we are doing Magic Kingdom 4 days so my chances of getting 7DMT on the days I want them are better & my Epcot day for wanting Frozen Ever After is 7 days into our trip.
Heres an example of my itinerary:

White: Stuff I want to get done w/o FP+
Yellow: FP+ rides together as a family
Pink: FP+ rides split up due to rider swap
Blue: FP+ rides split up due to rider swap
Green: Child Swap Ride
Orange: Break in our day
Red: Leaving the park
--------------------------------------------------------
I have also started to really get to work on the outfits we are gonna wear & start sewing some of the ones for my niece.

#SquadGoals (I made)

& I bought the kids new lanyards for pin trading

My son loves Goofy so this was perfect & Niece the princesses..
We purchased 25 new pins at random online so they can each have 12 for the trip.

I will be sure do make another update once FP+ are selected!

Adorable shirt you made for your niece, not to mention Greyson's 1yo picture :goodvibes

Oh and FYI, I'm now a Disney travel planner too :thumbsup2

I was supposed to have my FP+ day in 2 more days (Sept 16th)... Since I am doing a split stay my 60 days checkin started yesterday for my room only. I get on my computer to do my online checkin early in the morning :surfweb:, while I was doing that I noticed it said my FP+ window was OPEN! My response was "WHAT!!!"... I got to make them 3 days early!
I was confused because they made me make my ADRs separate so I figured it would be the same with FP+.. Plus my note card says it too.. None the less I feel like I already am sprinkled with a little pixie dust.pixiedust:

I was able to get every FP+ that I wanted in exception to Thunder Mountain, It was supposed to be re-opened from its refurbishment on 11/19, So I figured I would book one that day.. Nope not available. I'm going to check every day to see if maybe they open it up, or perhaps they are not going to release FP+ for it until the day of?.. Who knows. I am a little bummed because my son & husband love it.
Anyways... All my FP+ were within 10 minutes of my time that I "scheduled" them for in my plans. So with very minor tweaking my plans are completely set... I have such a planned itinerary it might scare somebody lol

I went to sams club yesterday and bought 4 packs for gift cards to add to my vacation account, I now have $2,000 which I added to our trip & I requested my bonus of $40.

I also went through my tub of items marked "DISNEY TRIP" which I have been just adding to over the course of the year, I am that mom who makes their family wear coordinating outfits. I HAVE NO SHAME. I realized I have more then enough outfits, actually I have more then I need so now I need to start going through my stuff and figuring out what we are going to wear each day.. I literally have enough to do outfit changes (I have a shopping problem lol)

Everything is coming along quite nicely!! Thats all for now!
