Never received email or postcard, but got code???

We went from having no code to having a code after a couple phone calls by my husband with questions about cost of stay...so forth. I think they sometimes give codes to help seal the deal on the trip. Not that i am complaining. We actually ended up with a 40 percent code.
 
I got the 40% off code this year and last year. I kept calling and calling. Maybe about 8 times this year and 4 times last year. Someone did give me the code so I was able to give it to the Cm when they asked for it. I shared it with my mom and after a few calls she found a cm to apply it.
 
Question: when people mention the 40% discount, is this room only? My family has a Magic Your Way package booked in June and I'm wondering if there's any possible code that will help us out.

I'm confused. In reading this thread I saw how others had called down there to have their name looked up to see if there's a code attached to it. Well, I just called and was told by the CM that they couldn't look up to see if we had a code attached. Bummed out!:confused3 I thought that they could look it up. I'm wondering if there's been a policy change or whether they've been told to stop looking it up.:surfweb: Wish we could do it and had a code! I'd make reservations today!!!!:thumbsup2

Sorry, I meant to also mention that I have two off-season trips planned later in the year. When people talk about getting a code, is it room-only, or for packages, or what?

Both... mine was a pin code for room only but the CM found the appropriate code to upgrade it to a package with deluxe dining

I want your CM. I really have to get more diligant about calling for codes. I am glad I made my way to this board.

It was applied after a few calls. . does that mean that some CMs did not take it the first few times?
 
when calling do you find it more effective to say "I was wondering if there are any codes I could use on my next trip?" or "I have heard some people have been getting the 40% off code and is it available for me?" or does it not matter
