Never been...where to stay?

1st time visitor. Flying and staying at GC but thinking of going in one day early to get settled in so next day with 4 day park tickets will be less travel, more park time!

So, where is a good place to stay that we could possibly walk to GC, uber over or have Disney transfer luggage?

So, where is a good place to stay that we could possibly walk to GC, uber over or have Disney transfer luggage?

FWIW, we have a four day stay at GC in June. Party of 6. We are flying in a day early. Staying at the BWPPI (Best Western Park Place https://parkplaceinnandminisuites.com/) for a night. Will transfer our stuff to the GC on the first morning then head into the parks.

Love to come in a day early! Any hotel around DLR will get you done. Catch an Uber to GCH the next morning, Disney will only transfer luggage between their 3 hotels. Tons of hotels around there within 5-10 mins of GCH. Idk about hotels that are walking distance to GCH. Personally I wouldn’t want to start my trip out by walking my luggage to GCH. (When considering walking distance to GCH remember you can’t walk through DtD with your luggage due to security restrictions.)

Really? I have done this many times. Rather than security check all our luggage, Disney has sent an escort with us and our luggage to our destination. Has that changed?

WHAT? THEY ALLOW THAT? Dang, had never heard of that before! Cool! I assumed security followed the park rules which specifically prohibit suitcases.

For me it was no problem. No suitcases can come into the parks of course.
