I have a few questions since we've never been to DL and will be there this summer. What park has Soarin'? What park has the fireworks? And, what park has WOC? Is watching the fireworks the same as WDW - anywhere you can find a spot. Thanks.

What park has Soarin'?

DCA

What park has the fireworks?

Only Disneyland at this time.

And, what park has WOC?

DCA

Is watching the fireworks the same as WDW - anywhere you can find a spot.

Never been to the World, but I'll give it a shot. There are some castle lighting effects that you may want to be in the 'Hub' to see. Plus you can't hear the music from anywhere in the park. Too me that is a large element of the fireworks show. Can you see the fireworks from almost anywhere, including DCA, pretty much.

we have watched the firewroks in DL from several different places in the park and you hear the music i would say in around 99% of the park if you are outdoors...the hub does have the best viewing but they can be seen from lots of different areas.

Last summer we found that viewing Magical from in front of IASW is an excellent place, because you get the music and same lighting effects as on the castle, just with a much lower crowd concentration. You miss out on Tink and Dumbo flying, so it's definitely worth viewing from the Hub at least once to see that.

The thing to remember about Disneyland Resort is that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are VERY close to one another. A short stroll across a courtyard. They are essentially one park with two separate entry gates. If you are going to be there for longer than a day, a parkhopper pass is the best use of your time and money to get the most rides and attractions for your time.

If you want to dine at the Blue Bayou restaurant make reservations early (at least a week ahead for popular dining hours) 714-781-DINE. Most other restaurants in the parks are less reservation driven so walk ins are relatively easy.

Overall, it is different from WDW in that everything is in one of the two parks and they are 2 minutes apart by foot, so you can see a show at DCA and run across to Disneyland for a different show that starts 10 minutes later.
