We haver never been to Sea World and we are going to Disney early December. I was just wondering if it is worth the time and money and if two boys 13 and 15 would enjoy it? Is it very crowded during that time period? Any advice would be great!

Thanks

It is absolutely worth the time and money. If your boys have any interest at all in animals than they will enjoy it. If not, well...the adults can see the shows and stuff and they can spend all day on Kraken...the roller coaster. But I haven't met someone yet that hasn't liked Sea World. It's just awesome. I don't know how crowded it is at that time, but Sea World does handle crowds very well, much better than WDW or Universal does. You never spend much time in lines, since most of the stuff is shows.

Boys of that age can be a little difficult to entertain, it's not cool to be seen to being enjoying yourself  LOL. While SW has a couple of excellent rides ( JTA and Kraken ) if the boys aren't heavily into animals there might be better choices you could make.
If you have a car I would suggest you look at Busch Gardens in Tampa, this has more thrill rides than any other park in the area and, IMHO, is the park best suited for teenage boys, there are also quite a few things for adults and younger kids as well. If you don't have access to a car and hadn't planned to include it I think IOA would also be a better choice for boys of that age.

I love SW and it's one of my favourite parks, but as with all things you have to take into account the strengths of each type of park. SW is great for adults who are interested in animals and for kids up to 11/12 but I think it does tend to lose it's allure for many (but by no means all) kids in their teens.

I had 2 -14 y.o girls with me in April. They loved it. We fed the dolphins and sea lions, rode the rides many times and saw all the shows.
It was a much more relaxing day after IOA and 4 days in Disney.
