We' e never has Netflix and thinking about getting it. How many "things" can be on one account? I'd like to get both ds's iPod touches, my iPhone, our smart tv, and the xbox all one one account. Possible? Thanks

I don't think there is a limit. We've got two iPads, 2 iPhones, 2iTouches and our Wii on our account. Most of them just use the Netflix app, and you just log in to that one account.

There is a limit on how many devices can be using streaming at the same time. My plan, the 2 dvd unlimited + streaming allows up to 2 devices to stream netflix at the same time. I can access netflix from all of my devices but not all at the same time.

Good point! I guess I should find out how many can stream at the same time w/just the downloading plan...I don't think I want dvd's sent to the house. Thanks

We have the basic 1 DVD + streaming plan and routinely stream to 2 or 3 devices at a time... The catch is that they can't be the same type of device. If I try to stream to both computers simultaneously I get an error but I can have the Wii, Xbox, and computer all streaming at the same time without an issue.

So 2 Wiis at the same time is a no go but a Wii and a RuKo (or whatever it is called) would be fine?...we are thinking about doing away with our cable and just doing basic TV and NetFlix but we need something for each TV and just trying to decide what to get...Lots of times hubby is downstairs watching TV and dS and I are upstairs...would hate to not be able to all watch netflix

I am on the streaming only plan. According to the Netflix Q&A:

Some membership plans allow you to watch simultaneously on more than one personal computer or Netflix-ready device. If you are on the Unlimited Streaming plan, the Unlimited Streaming + 1 DVD out-at-a-time plan or a limited streaming plan, you may watch only one device at a time.
If you are on the Unlimited Streaming + 2 DVDs out-at-a-time plan, you may watch on up to two devices at a time. Members on the Unlimited Streaming + 3 DVDs out-at-a-time plan may watch on up to three devices at a time. The maximum is four devices at a time -- available for members on the Unlimited Streaming + 4-or greater DVDs out-at-a-time plan.

If I read this correctly, supposedly I can watch on only one "Netflix-ready device" at a time. However I know that I can watch on my Wii and my IPad at the same time (I've done it many times). Also, I don't know why but when I access my account on my PC there is a sction that you can "Activate a Netflix ready device" as well as "Manage Netflix ready devices and computers". Checking both of those I have nothing listed yet I do use my Wii and Ipad to watch Netflix. My guess is that if you don't register your Wii or Ipad or whatever, then you can watch on multiple devices at same time???? :confused3

We've got it on 8 devices (1 nook, 3 laptops, 2 phones, 2 game systems). But I think we can only actually watch on one (or maybe 2) at the same time. But they are all associated with our account.

I would look into getting Hulu Plus then to round out your TV viewing.

Netflix is good for anything on DVD including show seasons on DVD now. Hulu is good for current tv shows and some of the past, mostly what you can't find on DVD.

I like the roku. You can get many channels on it. Some are pay, some are free. I need to get another one for the other tv. We dont have cable and netflix and hulu suit us fine. I dont miss paying the cable co.

It used to be less than ten. Now its something crazy like 150 ? Any way you look at it, I think you're good to go. :thumbsup2

ETA: We also love our Roku. That said, Netflix works well on Wii, ipod Touch, and 3ds.
