netflix on iphone

My son has an iphone. I read on netflix that you can watch things on the iphone if you have an app. Now here is the question and please be patient with me because I don't use the phone: if you belong to netflix and then get the app for netflix, can you watch movies and tv shows without using internet time? I am thinking of doing it for the parks while waiting in line. Also is it easy to do.

It will use your data plan, unless you are in a wifi area. You can switch your phone setting to wifi to make sure your data plan isnt used. You probably wont get wifi in the parks tho. WDW is pretty secure about that. Anywhere you pick up a wifi signal will be free for you.

As far as ease of use, its pretty simple. Download the app for Netflix, sign in with your same user name and password as you have at home. Thats it. Scroll thru to see what you want to watch and just hit play.

No. You will use your data package to stream the movie even though you are paying to rent the movie itself thru Netflix. The same goes for streaming at home. You're using your home internet to stream the movie.

You might want to buy a few digital movies on itunes and put them on the phone if you want to use it to entertain your son in line. It will be much cheaper in the long run.

Just make sure it does NOT say 3G at the top of the phone.

Make sure it has the wireless "umbrella", meaning it is using wifi, not going against your data plan

I think this is a great idea. Either buy or rent some movies through iTunes or you may even have movies that can be tranferred to the iPhone to watch. If you have any Disney movies with Digital copy those digital copies can be used on iPhone and iPods and other devices

Yes you can watch Netflix on your Iphone but as others have said it does use your data plan. I have unlimited data on my Iphone so it's not an issue for me. If you are in a Wifi hot spot you can use WiFi to watch instead of using the data plan.
