I woke up today to schedule my phone interview. I was thinking that I'd schedule it for tomorrow or Monday, but little did I know the CM on the phone said I could do it tonight at 10pm. At first, I was thought this was a good idea since I'm more awake at night, but now I have to spend the whole day reviewing everything. I had to tell someone, nobody at my house knows. I haven't told my parents or any of my friends. I want to see if I get in before I tell anyone.

Ok, so in class today I'll be reviewing questions that they might ask. Today is going to be the longest day ever! I'll let everyone know how I do later tonight, if I make it that long.

P.S. I didn't know they do interviews so late. Now I'm panicking that the CM is going to be tired and it's going to effective me negatively. (I'm a worrier, if you haven't notice.)

Good Luck on your interview! Are you hoping to obtain a position with the college program or as a professional intern?

It sounds like the interview you are getting is a screening interview...check out some of the past threads about the interviews...they hold a lot of useful information and tips!

I'm doing the college program. I should've mentioned that, shouldn't I? Ok now I'm panicking even more, is there a difference for a screening interview?

My choices were: Photopass photographer, attractions, merchandise and character attendant. I want to do photopass more than anything, but I'd be happy with almost anything.

Thanks! I'm freaking out!

I've never done a cp, but I've read quite a few posts in this forum. For the college program, I believe, this interview is the only one you will get. Here are some questions that I have found in various places throughout the forum:

How would you explain to a guest why certain characters (i.e. Mickey) don't talk?
What would you do if a guest was being inappropriate towards a character?
What would you say to a child who was too short to ride an attraction?
Who is your favorite character?
How are you like you favorite character?/What character do you think you are most like and why?
Why do you want to work for Disney?
What is the most important quality to have when interacting with guests?
Describe a situation.......
When you had to work with a difficult co-worker?
Why do you want the particular roles you applied for?
What experience do you have?

These are just a few of the questions that I have found scattered throughout these forums. There are many more, I'm sure, but these might help you to get thinking of other questions they might ask!

One tip that has been stressed by many people is to SMILE! Before you pick up the phone, take a deep breath and talk calmly, slowly, and think about your answers before you blurt something out. Good Luck! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! You are amazing. Thanks for the list of questions. I was trying to find some, but kept coming across the same 'why do you want to do the CP at this point?' type questions. Now, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to pay attention to class today. :lmao:

I'm taking this as a good sign, as soon as I got off the phone with the CM to schedule the interview, my aunt called to tell me she saw Mickey at Macy's yesterday. Apparently, sailor Mickey is the character this year. Hopefully, this is a good sign.

I did my interview later too because I work all day. I wouldn't worry about it, they have to do interviews at all kinds of different hours for people in different time zones.
