Neocate Infant Formula

My 7 m/o son has multiple food allergies. After trying different formulas, the doctor just put him on something called Neocate. Never heard of this stuff before in my life. Any experience with it? How did your baby respond? I hope it works. He has terrible rashes, like severe eczema, and I feel so bad for him.

I had forgotten the name of it until this thread. Yes, my DD was on this. She had Necrotizing Enterocolitis- basically a small section her intestines blew up (kind of like your appendix bursting, but it was her intestines).
IIRC it is a predigested formula so there is less the body has to do.

When we used it, it was 13 years ago. We had to import it from the UK and it was very expensive!
On a side note, my Pediatrician tried her on Good Start and DD did just as well.
