Well now, the fishy that has fins has past Harry Potter to #10 ALL TIME (not adjusted for inflation).

Next up, The Lion King. Nemo needs about $8M more to be #8, passing both The Lion King and Forrest Gump.

My thoughts are that this moview is still going to be in the theaters for Labor Day Weekend. That should be another spike in ticket sales. Gotta go see the family-feel-good-smash-hit of the summer one last time before school starts.

My new updated guess for Nemo after the Labor Day weekend is $340M.

On another Note, Will Gigli even make it to $10M?

$340 million is probably pretty accurate, but $10 million for Gigli? No way, it might hit 7. Whats even more amazing is they have another movie coming out together (Jersey Girl). The only thing that might save this is it is directed by Kevin Smith (Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks...)I don't know about you guys, but I cannot handle anymore J Lo. I will not pay to see her in anything. Affleck used to be a favorite actor of mine (Good Will Hunting), but I cannot seperate the two.

Now me, I've never really been able to take Affleck seriously. Damon was definitely the much more talented of the two. I just don't think Ben is that great an actor, and apparently he isn't much of a box office draw (and neither is that way overrated J Lo).

I'm glad Nemo has hung around as long as it has, and if it makes it to Labor day that $8 mil will be easy to cover. We still hope to get to the theatres to see it again.

Would Gigli qualify as an "all-time" flop ??? Sorta makes TP look like a smashing success.

Finding Nemo was a good movie but no where near the quality of TLK. Even Lilo & Stitch was better. Has CGI taken over for animation for good?

Well here's some inside dirt for you... The expected street date of Finding Nemo on DVD & VHS willl be..... *Drum Roll Please*........ November 4th. They are making it into a 2 disc DVD set much like monsters inc. was. One will have the film on it while the other will have lots of bonus features, and *whispers* there are rumors that there WILL be a gag reel on the DVD ALA monsters inc, toy story, etc.

Keep an eye out & i'll update more as soon as I know something

I wonder about your question. I lurk a bit at movie fan discussion boards and I've seen comments that Brother Bear won't do well because hand-drawn animation "is out". I don't agree but perception seems to be practically everything when it comes to a movie's performance.

The Brother Bear numbers should be interesting.

Except that the quality of Smith's movies seems to be inversely proportional to the amount of money spent on them, and Jersey Girl was not a cheap film. Maybe he'll break the pattern with this one (one would only hope), but I doubt that'll happen.

(Although as his movies get worse, his comic books get markedly better.)
