Needing a place Dec 29th 2006-Jan 8th 2007

My family and I (6 adults 2 children) are coming down to WDW on Friday Dec 29 and departing on the 8th of january. My mom runs the marathons and I am running the next one with her. Last year we stayed at OKW (my dad is an airline pilot and he got a cut rate). But this year we are hoping to stay somewhere that is accessible by monorail because the 2 days of the 1/2 and full marathons make bussing pure HE!! from all of the road closures etc, for the race. The only resort my dad can get his pilot discount at, he believes is OKW, so we are looking into renting/paying for a room through this board. Can I get a place at Grand Floridian, Contemporary or Polynesian with DVC points? If not where do you recommend us staying that is easily accessible (maybe by boat) so that the road closures will not pose a threat. We are looking for either a 2 bedroom villa or 3 single rooms. And is it to early to go ahead and make reservations this early in advance. Thanks so much! Amanda
