I'm new to this forum, but I am hoping that someone may be able to help me.

I am posting for a friend who is a quadripedic due to a serious car accident. Her 14 year old daughter (12 at the time) was in the car with her. She was unharmed, but her mother was very seriously injured.

Her daughter is having a very hard time coming to terms with her mother's injury. She is looking for a friend to talk to, around the same age, who was in the same situation. Specifically, a child who was in the same accident that seriously injured a parent.

She would be happy talking with someone just online... she just feels very alone in this situation and we don't know of any other children who are dealing with the same issues.

If you know of someone, please either reply here or PM me.

Thank you very much.

I'm afraid I can't offer direct help, but wanted to point you towards the Apparelyzed Spinal Cord Injury Peer Support forums. I have heard a number of positive things about this board, so hopefully it will prove useful. It has a board for spouses and carers, which might be able to provide her with a contact. There is also a board for parents, so your friend may be able to get in touch with the child of someone in a similar situation to her daughter.

Hope this helps some.
