My 20th anniversary is May 16, 2012........we went to Maui for our 10th anniversary and would love to go back for our 20th.

HAWAII would be my #1 choice, especially if I could have at least 10 days there.

I personally would go for the Disneyland for 2 days and Hawaii for the rest of the time. Unless you have already been to Disneyland and then I would pick the Hawaii only trip.

Why? Because I've been to Disneyland and two days is plenty of time to see it (we did it three) and I think we may go to Hawaii in 2010 as we've never been. So basically I'm basing the decision on my own dream.

No I have never been to Disneyland.. I thought it might be neat to check it out.. I know NOTHING about DL tho so I will need some help in the planning if that is what we decide.

Thanks!

Any questions, ask away.

We did a 2 week California holiday in May 2007. Flew into Los Angeles, rented a car and drove up the coast to San Francisco stopping at various locations along the way. Disney was our first stop.

We stayed at a Sheraton (off property) about 5 minutes away and took the hotel shuttle mostly.

7 day Disney cruise. Anything less is just a tease.
BTW there are no 5 day cruises offered by DCL that I am aware of.

Our 20th is in October and I haven't even thought about anything. I guess I should get moving.
Alaska or the Antarctic sounds great for a cruise but I'll wait until we're retired. Until then I want a warm vacation

OP are you out west?

I was not even thinking of a DCL just a regular cruise and 4 days AT WDW staying at WL..

I am from Southern ontario in the Hamilton area.

I voted for 10 days Hawaii as that was my first though, although 2 days disneyland and then 7 days Hawaii might be nice too...

But you should 100% definitely go to Hawaii!!! We went there for our honeymoon and it was absolute heaven!

If you do go to Hawaii for 10 days, I'd consider seeing two islands. We went for 9 days and went to Oahu (more active and lively there) and Maui (more relaxing and peaceful) and loved both!

I'm also on the Disneyland/Hawaii bandwagon.

I'm betting you've been to WDW like most of us here in the eastern part of the country. But have you been to DL?

As for Hawaii... well, if you are saving and think you can save up the $$$$ why not go to Hawaii... it sounds and looks like a beautiful place to visit once in a lifetime.

For an anniversary I would do something romantic where we could spoil and pamper ourselves. I would do Hawaii or the Alaskan cruise for such a special event. You couldn't go wrong with either location. With the Alaskan one I would make sure to get a stateroom with a balcony and do a wonderful balcony dinner, just the two of you with the beautiful landscape sailing by, served by a private waiter with flowers and candles. You 2 could remember the highlights of the last 20 years together :) And then in the morning you could do a chamapgne breakfast on your balcony and plan the next 20 years together and all those Disney vacations :thumbsup2

I voted for Hawaii but my 2nd pick would be the Alaskan cruise. 20 yrs is really something and what better way to celebrate than somewhere quiet and romantic where the only thing you have to worry about is how you'd like your eggs in the morning.
Congratulations!
