Hi. :)

My family and I will be in Orlando January 7-14, 2012, for the marathon and then vacation.

We would love to stay off-site, but are very overwhelmed finding a place. I've been reading these boards, but I really don't know where to start.

We would love a two bedroom place, access to pool/hot tub, maybe deck/patio, and of course, a good price. ;)

I've been reading the Bonnet Creek thread, and the place looks awesome, but where else should I look?

Thank you!:thumbsup2

We've stayed at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa. Its on 535 and only about a 5 minute drive to disney. The rooms are big and if you pay in full at the time you book, you get a better deal. They also provide AAA and military discounts and if you friend them on facebook, I believe you can still get 15% off. Theres 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. Every room has a balcony.

THe Sheraton Vistana Resort and Cypress Pointe are some great timeshare properties in Lake Buena Vista that you might want to look at (nice condo units and ammenities). For seven night stays I've often rented from owner son TUG2.net and Redweek.com. Both do retail rentals too, which I have done before on very short stays.

Silver Lake Resort is awesome and not far from WDW. It is right out the back gate from AK.

Our room was a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom room with a screened in balcony. The main pool was not far from our building.
