I'm very frustrated.

First, I watch our AC flights for months. I was aiming for $200 pp per way in early Feb. The prices stayed above $300. This week, there's a huge drop. Round trip is $430 pp. So I booked as that was by far the lowest I'd seen and close to my target. Today, it's $388 pp. So for 4 of $160 less than what I paid

To top it off, I bought our tickets before the annual price hike in February to save money. Now, of course, Disney has the special out for Canadians. I could return the tickets to undercover tourist but the dollar has gone up so much we'd lose more than we'd save due to the exchange.

It seems everything I do that seems like a way to save $$ has backfired on this trip!!!!

I bought 3 DL tickets and two days before we left for our trip the Canadian deal came out...I feel your pain!

For the flights, NEVER go back and check it is not worth it once you commit. For the ticket though, you might want to check it out, for the exchange is different, you will get that same exchange if you return the tickets. The most you could be out is the 2.5% conversion rate on a cc. If the cost of your tickets are more than 5% difference, I would do it since you have enough time out.

Thanks everyone. The return will be processed on the card at today's exchange rate. We have the 0% forex fee, but the dollar is way higher than it was in January. Which is good and bad.....

Thanks for reminding me I'm still ahead of the game! That helps!!!!

We've been watching flight prices as well. Price was coming down slightly over the last month or so, so we decided to book at a savings of $65 per ticket.

The very next day, the price jumped up higher than it was from when I started to track the price. Worked out nice for us, but that's not to say the price will not come back down again, even lower than we payed.

As was mentioned, once you book, don't look at it again.

Happy travels.

Best thing to do is after you book something is to stop checking the prices. At best you still feel good you got a great deal (which you feel if you stop checking), at worst you keep kicking yourself.

That being said, I keep checking weekly after I've booked stuff too :p

I had fully inteded not to look, but I'm apparently incapable of that!!! :sad2:

It's ok. I'm the same. The OCD in me wants to keep checking to confirm I got the best deal I could :p So far so good as I lucked out and got my package REALLY cheap. I'd be super surprised if it come up any lower between now and when I go.

You know you have up till 24hrs after you purchase airline tickets to cancel and get a full refund and no cancelation fee's
