Need to use or lose 280 points

Right now, a trip to WDW is not possible and I do not want to lose the points. Has anyone used their points to stay at the Loews Regency in NYC or the White something hotel in Chicago? If so, what were your impressions of these hotels?

Loews Regency is very nice.

We stayed at the Whitehall for our anniversary. Wonderful hotel. Boutiquish. We had a blast.

Just wondering, do you not have the option of transferring or renting that points to another owner? If travel is not an option at the moment, it would at least get you some money for the points. I have also proposed trades with folks and had them book travel through other timeshares in exchange for the points.
