I am so excited, and I can't tell my children, as we are waiting until Easter to surprise them.

I got my package from Disney today, with our tickets, luggage tags and such.

I just can't wait. We leave in 17 days, will be at Disney in 19. This is my dh and 2 dd's first trip and my first time in 30 years.

It is so hard to contain myself, I want to tell the girls so we can start planning, but we agreed to wait a few more days.

Thanks, I just need to share with people who would understand.

Yaaay for your first trip in 30 years and everyone else's first visit ! I haven't been there in seven years and am excited about going in June. When I was little, we would visit every year and it always felt like the first time. So excited for you and your family! What a wonderful Easter surprise to spring on the girls :goodvibes!

I have a very hard time keeping secrets :). Congratulations on your upcoming trip!

How exciting! We surprised our 3 kids in '08 and it was worth the wait, as hard as it was. For our Oct. '11 trip we are trying to keep it a surprise for our youngest (age 9) My other two kids are 16 and 19, so they are in on the surprise this time.

Have fun surprising them, have the recorder ready and let us know how it goes!

Only 6 more days until Easter, you can do it! That being said, I bought 2 trading pins each for my 3 DDs to give them at Easter and every day after school, I've been just itching to show them!!!

You will have so much fun because how could you not?? It's Disney! princess:

Yeah! You are going to Disneyland! How are you telling them on Easter? Is it in their baskets? Is it at the end of an egg hunt in the Golden Egg? How awesome! :thumbsup2 :yay: Wishing you a wonderful trip!

We are giving them new suitcases instead of Easter baskets. They are princess themed, and I have included autograph books, water bottles, a couple of new outfits, and "tickets" that I made on the computer. I don't want to risk losing the real ones. I also found great Disney themed scrapbooks, for when we get home, as they both have digital cameras. They will have to find the suitcases during the hunt, and I bought a new video camera, just for this trip.

This is going to be gift from my dad. He wanted to take his granddaughters to Disneyland this year, but he wasn't able to, he passed away suddenly right before Thanksgiving, so we decided to do it for him. I am using part of the money he left to make it a once in a lifetime trip. We are pulling out all the stops, staying concierge, on site, 3 character meals, Blue Bayou, BBB, a welcome basket in the room, and stuff I can't even remember, until I look at my book.

We were going to wait and tell them when we got to Disneyland, but decided to tell them a couple of weeks early, so they can see the planning dvd, and hopefully, get as hyped up as I am.

Your post made me tear up.

What fun, and what memories you are going to have this trip. :goodvibes

Let us know how the girls react when they find their suitcases.

What awesome plans! You're Dad would be so happy for all of you.:goodvibes

Your post made me tear up as well.

You guys are going to have a blast! Im so excited for your family! I surprised my kids last year..it was totally fun..but it was HARD to keep it a secret haha..this year we told them...;)

What a wonderful story. I hope you all have the time of your lives and that everything goes as planned. I hope you do a trip report, starting with the day you surprise them. I am so looking forward to hearing all about your trip. I am excited for you.

How old are your girls?

thanks everyone for all your warm wishes. I will be including this in my trip report, but wanted to s hare our Easter surprise.

Both girls, 6 and 8, loved their surprise, they screamed and squealed like only littel girls can do. They are watching the planning dvd now, and planning all our adventures.

It was a great day!

Now I am even more excited for our trip. I am going to start packing tomorrow.

This is awesome! I'm happy for your family. Sounds like it was a great day. We are going in Oct and not telling the kids until we get to the airport. (We take dad to the airport sometimes so we're going to tell them thats what we're doing) I don't know if I can wait that long. I'm already going crazy!
