I need to rent a minivan that we can let my sil drive her wheelchair into. Does anyone have any reccomendations of who we should use? or who we shouldn't use in Orlando? We need to pick the van up at the airport. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. (We haven't had ANY experience with this sort of thing) We definitely need a van that we can keep for a week as we are going on to Vero Beach. Thanks

We have used Rainbow Wheels in the past and would again. They are off site but will meet you at the airport. You will be looking at spending over $100 a day with who ever you use though.

Unless she is in a power chair you would be better of with just a mini van and putting the chair in the back. Lift vans cost $$$$$

This is why we always stay onsite and use the Disney transportation. Unfortunately, we give up the ability to visit other places we would like to go, i.e. Kennedy Space Center, Universal Studios...but we can't afford to do Disney and rent van w/ a lift.

Try using mears next time to go to these places. US is like $14 rt per person and they go to KSC 3 days a week for $25 PER PERSON. Usally your the only ones on the van and the drivers are nice.

A little bit more info- we are going on to Disney's Vero Beach resort which is about 2 hours south of Disneyworld which is why we need to rent a van. I agree that it would be cheaper for my sil to use her manual wheelchair)there would be plenty of us to push her but she is more comfortable in her electric. Not being in that position myself I can't really argue with what she wants. We just want her to have a great time.

$25 per person? We have 4 kids...that's $150. Being disabled sure is expensive! ;)

We use discountmobilityusa would highly recomend them. and yes these things arn't cheap but for us we have no choice as our son can't get out his wheelchair

Our family used Wheelchair Getaways. There vans were very nice. I especially liked the kneeling van with ramp. Ours met us at the airport. I don't know how much it cost because Make-A-Wish payed for it.
