DH and I are heading to WDW next Tuesday (12/16). This will be a no park day. We have three day park hoppers for Wed/Thurs/Fri and at the point where we need to decide to purchase Lightening Lane or not. We have been to Disney many times, staying in a DVC resort, good at getting to the parks early and hitting what we want, pretty good with going with the flow (although I like a little plan). I know crowd calendars can be hit or miss, but Touring Plans show the days as 5, 4, 4 so we are planning with their individual predictions to make our choice what park, what day. Our plan is:

12/17 Wednesday- Rope drop Studios then, enjoy the food at Epcot and maybe a few attractions
12/18 Thursday- Rope drop MK and hit the classics/maybe a few hours at AK or back to Studios
12/19 Friday- Epcot at rope drop/ candlelight Processional reservation at 4 and the 6:45 show

I would love to hear thoughts about purchasing Lightening Lanes or just go with what happens.

Thanks for any thoughts!

We probably need to know what rides you want to do at each park. Doing Hollywood at the end of the day would meant that you would have to try for a drop the day of for Slinky if you want to ride that.

Sorry, double replied...

Brief list, but certainly not limited to:

We would like to do Slinky, but would be content with Runaway Railroad and Tower of Terror. Then see what else we can get on.

MK the older classics.

Epcot would be Remy, Soarin', Living with the Land. We would use single rider at Test Track.

I would pay for the HS/EP day. If it was me I'd probably pick 3 rides early for HS...Slinky being one. As soon as I tapped into the first LL I'd see if Remy had availability for that night. Then after tapping in for my second LL at HS I'd try and get another HS LL. I'd also probably pay for GotG.

We pay for LL a majority of the time and find it worth it....but I know many don't like the added cost.

One of my favorite LL combos is MK morning & book for DHS evening as I use up the mk morning stuff, so I’d treat myself to MPLL that day and go with the flow the others.

I find the value proposition at EP is rough for adults with the Remy and TT SR lines. LWTL Glimmering Greenhouses can be a useful LL in the evening.

This is all good advice… I would do all this as well!

On such a short trip it will be difficult to get slinky before lunch

ETA if thrill data is accurate the next available SDD LL on the 16th is 3:45pm

Slinky on +8 is probably not going to be available (we got 1:30pm on +11) in the morning and without Slinky I don't think LLMP is worth it at DHS.

I'd probably get one at Epcot the last day and try to get a 2nd Tier 1 ride by booking a 9am 2nd tier ride. We were parking hopping and able to get Remy and Frozen day of Thanksgiving day, could never get Test Track day of.

Thanks for all of your suggestions! We made a few LL times and feel good about our plan!
