Need to ditch Narcoosees or Citricos

We will have two boys, 3 & 5 with us. Which one is more kid friendly? I love both menus so I can't decide that way. What have been your experiences? Thanks!

We've been to both and felt that they were both kid friendly. Citrico's is a little more formal, but last time we were there we enjoyed watching some very young children who were at the next table.

Even though Citricos looks a more formal-we felt more relaxed with our DD (now 9-but has been going there since 6) there. The server staff really make the kids feel very welcome and are very accommodating to them. Narcoossee strangely had more of an adult feel to it.

Can't put it into words but that's just our impressions from dining in both :)

One plus for Narcoossee is that if you get ressies around fireworks time you can watch them from the outside balcony and it's a better view then Citricos.

We dined at Narcoosees last Sept and I was totally let down by the
exp. This was the only res. that gives me bad memories of our whole trip.
The food was not good. I have had better lobster at Red Lobster. It
could have been an off night , but we will not be going back. We like
The Grand Fl. so we are trying 1900 PF for the 1st time. :goodvibes

For pure kid friendliness-Narcoossee's. And that's only because the fireworks keep them entertained.
Otherwise Citrico's is much the better restaurant.

ITA Citricos is much better, but it is more sedate. I have seen a table with some very well behaved children there. It is definately much more quiet, so if your kids get antsy, it will stand out more than it would at Narcoossees.

Guess it's Citricos then! Thanks! Our boys (for the most part) are very well behaved at restaurants. We make them sit the whole time, minus bathroom breaks of course, so that's why I'm not worried in taking them to the signature places. Of course, now that I said that, next time we go out they'll be little monsters, lol!!!

We took our 5yo to Narcoossee's just before he turned 6. I think Narcoossee's is really child friendly and there were lots of families there on our night.

There is a deck that overlooks the Seven Seas lagoon. So yes you can see the electric light pageant and Wishes fireworks if they are scheduled during your meal, but the deck also provides some interesting viewing and a great timeout venue during what can be a longer meal.

I've never been let down by the food or service at Narcoossee's and would suggest that to you.

We were there last week, Citrico's is very kid friendly, and the food is AWESOME! You can also see the fireworks at MK from the window tables, and the waitstaff brought children to the un occupied windows for the display. Narcossee's is great, but Citrico's is better IMHO!:goodvibes

Thanks for this thread. We are going for free dining in Sept and was debating between these two (I figure if i aint paying... try something new and special).

FWIW, I made my ressie at Citricos...

Love them both but I think Citrico's is more formal. I go with Narcoossee's:thumbsup2

I have been to both and loved them both. I think you would be happy with either one. We go back next month and we made sure to make reservations to both. Good luck but I think you're stuck with the luck of a coin toss.

We had at both places in August and December 2009. No question--better food and service at Citricos both times. And our kids LOVE Citricos. In fact, one of my boys said it's his favorite WDW restaurant. It's quieter than Narcoossee's, but we found the servers to be accommodating to the kids and the kids' food choices were good.

We have an ADR at Citricos in two weeks, but we are skipping Narcoossee's even though we're staying at the GF.
