Good Evening Everyone,
So I am throwing out alot of ideas in my head. First off we are planning a family trip to Disney on 2023. So as I have time The rest of the family wants to rent a condo outside of WDW. But I want to stay at the Fort we went down the road of renting rv but everyone wants there own space which I totally get. I have a few questions before I even conteplate tent camping at the Fort.So here I go.

1.) Can I keep my car at the tent site or do I have to park at the parking lot?
2.) is there electricity provided as well as internet?
3.) For anybody that has tent camped in December/January how are the temps
4.) Any Tiips or advice that you can give me would appreciate it!

Thank You in advance

I’ll try to help but I have only trailer camped at Fort Wilderness. 1. Yes you can keep your car on your site. 2. There is hydro, water and cable tv on tent sites. 3. Never camped during December/January but temps can be anything from freezing to pleasantly warm. 4. Love the Fort. It’s my favourite place to stay at Disney :)

Unless your crew includes seasoned tent campers I would not attempt Dec/Jan. You may experience all 4 seasons during a single week.

This.

The Fort has wifi like the other Disney resorts. However the Fort wifi experience is iffy depending on time of day and distance from your serving antenna. It does have excellent AT&T coverage though so I just hotspot from my phone all the time there. But I don't Netflix or stream much video (other than a SpaceX launch).

You mention going in December or January. December is a very popular month and the Fort is crowded and it's a more expensive time (although tent sites are generally the last level to sell out). January can be busy too with the holiday crowd right after New Years and the Marathon Week that starts up right after that. All this to say if you don't book REAL early you might have trouble getting a site for your desired dates.

PS - there is a tent pad on Tent, Full, and Preferred levels of campsites. The more expensive Premium and Premium Meadows do not have a tent pad. I've seen people put a tent on the pavement in those two or try to stick a tent off the pavement to the side around bushes and trees, etc.. So Tent level sites are not your only tenting location option but they are the most affordable.
