I have 3 school aged children, so I have a few teachers to buy for. Not only that, my younger son is special needs so he has an aid and therapists I would like to buy for as well. I really need some ideas here for men and women that won't cost me a fortune, but that are nice thoughtful gifts.

Thanks

After many many holiday threads here, it seems the most wanted gift is a gift card or a Thoughtful note.

For less expensive ones maybe just $5-10 for dunkin donuts or Starbucks or Panera?

I agree. All the teachers I work with LOVE gift cards. They are a nice little treat and very much appreciated when paired with a thoughtful note or picture from the kids.

Barnes and Noble and Starbucks are great because they can browse the store and then get a "specialty drink" in the same place. Fun to use over Christmas break....especially in the colder parts of the country. It is like a mini day out.;)

As a teacher, every gift is thoughtful. I always remember the ones when the child or parent paid attention to the decor of the room and bought something to go with it. Last year it was owl themed and we got lots of cute owl stuff!

I also love office supplies. Post-its, sharpies, etc. We also just started wearing keys around our necks on lanyards, so my daughter picked out sparkly ones for her teachers. I found them on etsy for $5 each (TheHighQueen is an AWESOME vendor & the shipping was super fast).

But I am more than excited to get a $5GC to anywhere!!

Starbucks gift cards are nice because (if you are watching you $$), even a 5 dollar card is enough to treat someone to a nice holiday coffee treat!

This year, we are going back to tried-and-true boxes of chocolate truffles. They've always received rave reviews from our teachers! They are in the 5-10 dollar range as well.

These are the kinds of things that they bring home....and either they enjoy them, their family enjoys them....or they are regifted....but that's ok with me.

My dad was a minister and would come home with little treats that members had dropped off for him throughout the season---they were a great part of our holiday! It was always fun to crack open the bag of some little treat that we didn't normally have at home...so festive and fun!

Gift cards, boxes of chocolate, a kind note, are all perfect. Some parents do donations in our names to local organizations or bring us some breakfast treats and coffee from Dunkin Donuts.
