I just got the green light to book a quick trip over Thanksgiving.

I'd love suggestions on where to get a traditional TG dinner on property.

I checked Cali grill and Narcoosee's - they are all booked up.

thanks,

Boy, I think you are too late to get anything. You're only a month out from Thanksgiving.

This is reallly late. I would call and let them tell you what's available. Good luck.

Everything is booked. EVERYTHING. Pray for a cancellation.

PS Love the E46 M3. 6speed or SMG?

Try Kona Cafe. We ate there last year for Thanksgiving and it was great. They offered the regular menu plus a traditional Thanksgiving meal. If you shoot for a late lunch, maybe you can get a reservation.

We will be having our traditional Thanksgiving dinner at home the weekend before the actual Holiday.
On Thanksgiving day we will be eating ribs and pineapple at the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. It will be different...but I'm sure we will say "remember the time we had a luau on Thanksgiving?"
Just try to get anything...or counter service at a resort and make it "different" this year.

My family heritage is German, so last year we ate at Germany. In addition to their normal buffet, they did have some "traditional" American Thanksgiving offerings as well. It was nice because then we had our turkey AND German Potato Salad, so it was like having dinner at home!!! :) So I'd check places in the WS too that mimic your heritage.

The Cape May at the Boardwalk has a wonderful traditional Thanksgiving buffet. I've spent two Thanksgivings there and recommend it. Call for ressies and ask about walk-ins. In 2006 they were taking walk-ins ( no ressies). And its a lovely resort to see decked for Christmas, plus you can enjoy a leisurely stroll before or after your dinner:)

thank you to all who took the time to give us some positive suggestions.

we have a dinner at trailside at saratoga springs.

ft. wilderness dinner with a country band and characters was also available.

ps. - M3 is SMG. got rid of it. Have an audi S4 now.

Good luck, this late I would hope for a cancellation. Try Maya Grill at Coronado Springs, or other moderate resorts. All should be offering traditional Thanksgiving meals and regular menu.

We're looking for a Thanksgiving meal also. I was told Jiko had an opening @ 9:25, if you're interested. I also heard Nine Dragons has availablity, but I don't know if they'd have a traditional Thanksgiving meal or not. Right now, we have Emeril's booked, which we love. We'd like to find something closer to WDW, if possible. I'm also looking into offsite locations near WDW. Good luck. :wizard: If you find anything, let me know.

We had our meal at the 50's Prime Time Cafe during our 2005 trip. It was good and you are eating in a "kitchen" so it felt like home in away.

...we have a dinner at trailside at saratoga springs.....

There isn't a restaurant at Saratoga Springs Resort name Trailside. I think you mean Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness. SSR only has the Turf Club for tableside dining and Artist's Palette for counter service.

Glad you were able to get a ressie for turkey day

let us know how it was when you get back and have a great time in your trip!!:cool1:

I really hope you find someplace! We called in i think July or August for and ADR and most places were booked! (or the places we wanted) We finally called Whispering Canyon and got it for Thanksgiving Day. GOOD LUCK THOUGH! :)

OP,
I was able to make a reservation for Raglan Road on Opentable.com. It looked like you could have your choice of times. They only allow Disney Dining to book some of their tables for ADRs. The rest can be booked through Opentable.

We made a 7:00 pm reservation. This was a tough decision, but we're not fond of loud restaurants. We thought we may want to be out of there by the time the noise level rose. The music & dancing do sound really neat though. Decisions, decision :rolleyes1
