Need St. Louis hotel help

In September we are going to see Dralion (Cirque du Soleil). It's going to be at The Highlands at Forest Park (formerly the Arena). Is this downtown? We are wanting a hotel close, but in a good area. Oh and not more than $100/night. Any ideas?

Forest Park is west of downtown, and it's lovely. There are a few hotels around Forest Park, but more are located near Union Station and by the Arch.

I've gotten hooked on getting nice hotels at bargain-basement prices via Priceline - so you might give that a try. Also check out www.hotwire.com for similar hotels. Go to www.biddingfortravel.com first to see what hotels others have gotten in St. Louis from Priceline, and for instructions on how to successfully bid for a hotel.

Try this link also. There's an Illinois link on it too. Collinsville Illinois is about 15 miles east of St. Louis. There are alot of hotels there along with a water park/family fun tyme place that has go carts, miniature golf etc.

Downtown would be your best option-- it is not far at all and has plenty of hotel options. I'm sure you can get a good deal with either Hotwire or Priceline. Have a great time!
