My husband and I have decided to take our son, daughter and my parents on a 3 day sea/4 day land Disney Cruise. Our daughter just turned 4 and our son will be 3 in February. We're trying to find out when would be best to go in terms of the weather and prices. My husband wants to get the rooms with a Veranda and stay at the Disney Beach Club Resort. We're thinking possibly the end of January. Does anyone have any tips, suggestions, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Deb

We're going to Disney and on the cruise in mid-January (separate land/sea). While I've never done the Disney Cruise before, I've been to Disney World in January before and I thought it was a great time to go. The crowds were light, the weather was pleasantly warm (especially coming from a cold climate!), and the prices were great! One negative- the parks usually close earlier, but you aren't waiting in huge lines all day, so you can usually get "done" faster. Plus, we never stay all that late with our young children anyway.

Another bonus- our son will turn 3 in February, too. Going while he is still 2 is saving us a LOT of money. His admission to Disney is still free, the character meals are all free, the cruise is, I think, $99 for him, etc.

Good luck!

Thanks Cassi, sounds like we're on the same wavelength! We thought we'd do it right before our son turns 3 to take advantage of those under 3 prices as well.

Thanks for the tips on the park. Sounds like it'll be a good bet to go then. Hope you enjoy your trip as much as I hope we enjoy ours!

I believe that January is always a good time to go - both weather wise and price wise. I would do some price checks for what you want and then compare to another time of the year to give you and idea of the savings...

I found the water both in the pools on board and at CC too cool to swim when we went in Jan. Keep in mind I live in the South so anything cooler then bath water feels "cold" to me.I do LOVE Disney World in Jan. and have been several time between New Years and President's Weekend. The lines are short, and the prices are very good.
Last Sept was wonderful as far as weather goes. Water VERY nice temp.
Really anytime school is in session is a good time to go! Have a great trip whenever you go!

I find that May is the best time to visit WDW and do the cruise. The weather is unbeatable. The caribbean is beautiful. You also find great rates in May before school is out for the summer. The time after Easter (week before and week after is peak) is a great time to plan a vacation.
