need some quick basic info on harry potter-best day of the week to go?

Just some quick questions, I'm sure the answers are here somewhere but I'm trying to advise my in-laws because they are planning a day to see the Harry Potter stuff and my MIL has MS and doesn't do well in the heat. And I'm trying to make DDP reservations and need to get that finished up.

Is there a better day of the week (mid-Oct) to see the Harry Potter stuff? (the days they are thinking are Sun or Mon, but Fri would work too)

Any other advice? (we've never been and don't plan on going till our kids are taller!)

During October the parks are pretty quiet except for WWoHP of course. If you stick with a weekday (Tuesday-Thursday) your odds of going when the crowds are the lightest are very good. October is Halloween Horror Nights at the Studios and CityWalk will be jammed in the evenings so if you wanted to eat somewhere, you will most likely have to wait a while. HHN doesn't usually affect the park crowds during the day but CityWalk is party central on the evenings of HHN.
