Hi

I am leaving it really late because I have no idea what to get my dad for his birthday tomorrow.

He has no hobbies or interests. He has all the Queen CD's and lately he has been unpredictable on DVD's as well. I was going to get him an MP3 player until my mum said she already bought him one for his birthday. So now its back to square one.

He doesnt like reading. He likes football only when Scotland play he used to like playing Golf, but that would mean effort so he only watches it on TV now. He is so hard.

Any ideas? We will only be spending £15-20.00 on him this year, as we are a little strapped for cash until April. We have had loads to pay out including a new car  Unfortunately I am being a mizer with money until then.

Thanks

If he is difficult to buy for, then why not take him out for a nice pub lunch instead. My Dad is the easiest person in the world to buy for, if it looks like a bottle of Captain Morgan Rum and tastes like it too, then I've bought the right thing :)

You say he has all the Queen CD's, what about their DVDs? There are 2 "Greatest Video Hits" DVDs and 3 live shows - Wembley 86, Milton Keynes Bowl and "Return of the Champions" which is the tour they did last year with Paul Rodgers on vocals.

They are all really good!

Hi

I would like to take my dad out, but my mum is cooking him a meal as apparently going out for a meal isnt special anymore.

I thought about aftershave, but I am a little worried as everyones tastes are different. I know he likes Kuros.

He has a few Queen DVD and the recent one they released last year, as my mum got it. I would buy him a ticket for We will rock you, but they are so expensive and he has seen it already. He is so hard!

Great ideas, thanks

Hi Angel,

I couldn;t resist pointing out that you currently have 659 posts which matches up with your username quite nicely :)....at least until you post again ;)

That's so spooky ~ I was just thinking the same thing :teeth:

What about a bottle of his favourite tipple - spirits if he drinks them - or the supermarkets do some wonderful beers now!

He may not read, but if he enjoys Golf on TV there are some excellent coffee table books, full of pictures of various sports.

No good advice just to let you know he sounds like my Dad - Nightmare!

Hope you come up with something :)
