Hey :)

So we're leaving in less than a week - eek!

We're spending a few days in SD at the Best Western Plus Bayside Inn. We need to get back to LA on a Greyhound, from the downtown Greyhound station. We don't have a car.

Anyone know the right bus route to take? I've tried googling to no avail.

Thanks!

The Greyhound depot is almost 3 miles from where you're staying.

If you haven't reserved yet (doesn't sound like it if you're asking about what route) there are other ways to get to LA. I don't think you select any particular "route" - just bus numbers. You enter your information and you see options. Or you go to a Greyhound depot with a ticket window and have an agent figure it out. There are a lot of different options including nonstop or routes with multiple stops.

Where in LA are you trying to get to? If you need to get to LA, the Amtrak-SAN station is within walking distance of that Best Western. The Pacific Surfliner will give lots of options to get to different locations around LA. It will be a bit more expensive, but they have a 10% AAA discount if you purchase 3 days in advance, and you can always get a refund (with penalty). I think the thing about Amtrak is you won't need a cab like you would to get to the Greyhound depot (or figure out which bus or light rail to take).
