We are sailing on the Disney Magic Oct 25, I have ressie for the Radisson for the Thursday and Friday before the cruise. DH and I having been thinking that maybe we should cancel the Rad. and try our home resort Vero Beach.

???'s We will have our DD with us she is 6.5 what kind of fun things do they have there for her to do.
Is their pool heated?
How long will it take us to drive to the port from there?
Are their 2 bedroom villa as long as the ones at OKW?

BTW we will be saving about $190. if we use our points and stay at one of the resorts.

Any input will help.

VB does have a nice activities program for the children. I know your daughter will enjoy the recreation staff there.

I think that VB is about 90 minutes from the Port.

The pool is heated and is a wonderful facility. The beach has a bit of a drop off, but will be nice to walk along- the ocean temps may still be warm enough for a swim.

The 2BR villas are not quite as large as OKW, but are still very comfortable. They are a little larger than those at BWV, BCV and VWL. Request a top floor towards the ocean and you may have a glimpse of the beach from the balcony. Decor and color scheme is similar to OKW and the living room does have a spacious layout.

Nothing wrong with saving $190 and enjoying your home resort at the same time. ;)

Have a great trip. The resort and cruise should compliment each other nicely. :)

Thanks Doc for your reply, now to convince my DH. When I told him it would be 84 points for the 2 nights he didn't think it was such a good idea. We are going to WDW in January 2004 looking to stay at OKW for 6 night he is comparing 6 night to 2.

VB is one of DVC's real gems. If you try it once you will have to go back.:smooth:
