I have three children (2boys and a girl). Last June my oldest son had a special "treat" at WDW. He got to take a golf lesson, so this year I want to do something special with the other two individually. I think my daughter and I will have a spa day, but I need an idea for her twin brother. He will be almost 11. Just FYI, he is not into golfing and we have already been to Cirque as a family. TIA.

How about something at the Disney's Wide World of Sports. Maybe an activity or attend a game or clinic.

Thanks, both very good ideas and we have never done either of those. I'll check the Disney site to see what I can find out about the sports complex. Has anybody been horseback riding at Fort Wilderness? Thought about that also.

Is he too old for the pirate cruise from the Grand Floridian? Or you could rent one of those little sea racer boats together.

I was going to suggest the trail ride and possibly the parasailing (not sure the age requirements) or fishing options. Other options would include some of the behind the scenes tours, a dinner show together or just a special meal (Narcossee's, CA Grill) esp if characters are still a hit with either. Surrey bike rental, water craft rentals, etc. Good luck, sounds like a great and fun adventure regardless.

Definitely too old for that. My son has gone sinec he was 4 and loves it but anytime I have seen a child over 9 on it - they have that arms folded annoyed look.

Thanks for that... I wondered if he would feel too "grown-up" for the pirate cruise.

I had not really thought about doing one of the tours with only him. We are planning the "behind the seeds" tour as a family. What is the Aqua tour? The milestones and steam engine tours might interest him also.

Most boys like trains ( @ least mine) how about the Magic Behind the Steam, I did that before on an adult trip and we are going nexy July and my 14 year old son asked if we could do that for a special treat.
