Need some ideas of places to donate very small amounts of money

Great idea! DS likes to put money into boxes the McDonalds have by their registers for the Ronald McDonald Houses.

I think it is wonderful that you are teaching your son about charity and the meaning of helping out others! I was also going to suggest the Ronald McDonald House. Tim Horton's here in Canada also have boxes by their registers that help out their Kids Camp programs - not sure if they have this in the US. Also, our local Humane Society would be glad for the dollar donation every week.
