Need some guidance...

We are heading to WDW next week and staying at Art of Animation from 08/02-08/10, with 8 day Hopper tickets.

Wife got some extra time off work, so we were looking at booking an additional two nights somewhere else.
If we don't go to the parks every day during our AofA stay, ill the unused ticket days still be active on our bands from AofA?

Here's why I ask. There are six of us. Me, my wife, 16, 14, 13 year olds and a 5 year old. They are dying to stay at Poly or GF again for those two nights. (Once the 5 y/o came along, AofA or FW cabins became our most economical choice.
If we book two nights at the Poly of GF, can we still use those unused days for the parks on our AofA bands?

I know we would be over the 5 occupancy at both resorts, but our 5 yr old is tiny and can share a bed,while someone else takes the pullout day bed.

The 5 yo cannot just share a bed. Disney will not allow that many of you to stay in one room. As the mother of five children myself, I totally understand where you’re coming from, however you will need to either book 2 rooms, a suite, or villa that accommodates all of you based on Disney’s occupancy rules. Disney is very strict about this, much more so than any other hotel we’ve ever stayed at.

This. Just book more nights in the AOA room that meets your occupancy needs.

As long as your date-based tickets are still valid, you will be able to access them with any magic band that is connected to your MDE account. The information is not on the band. The band only accesses the information in MDE.

Thanks...we decided to hop over to Coronado Springs for two more nights. Junior Suite there meets our needs and 2 bathrooms with 6 people is a plus.

I'll tell my 12 yo to just wait for the GF after her older sister goes off to college.
