We are planning on visiting Disney from April 8 to 16th. We are a family of 6 and we are driving from Chicago. We will be doing Disney, waterpark, & Universal. Plus would like to squeeze in a day at the beach if is possible. We currently have the following reservations:

1. Entire stay at Holiday Inn Universal
2 bedroom suite with full Kitchen for $89.00/night

2. Entire Stay at Cypress Pointe (not GV)
3 bedroom villa for $77.00/night

3. 4 nights (april 12-16) in a 3 bedroom
pool home in Clermont (i think about 30
minutes away ) for $250.00

I have reached the point where I need to start cancelling reservation we are not using. We have never been to Universal so we bought the 5 days for the price of 2 days. I don't know how much time we will spend there. I am concerned about the reports I have read about Cypress Point. I am not sure if having a vacation home with a pool is worth it for the 30 minute drive. The ad for the home said 'minutes for Disney' but map quest says it is about 30 minutes.

Sorry so long but...hubby is leaving these decisions up to me...help

Thanks Ann

That would be choice between the three. You will have room to spread out and not be far from the action.

I would pick Cypress Pointe. I would cancel Universal HI first, since it more expensive than CP and not as big.

The houses are nice to have but I wouldn't rent one in Clermont. To me it is too far away. There are many pool homes much closer to WDW although that is a great rate for the house.

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are very easy to get to from CP.

Which water park are you using? Either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach is great. If you are thinking about the beach, I suggest going to Cocoa Beach. It is closer to CP and easy to get to if you get on SR-528 the Beeline and just go east 55 miles.

Grocery shopping can be at the Winn Dixie about a mile north on route 535.

Have fun.
