Need Some Clarification on 4/3

So I've read several posts here and even called disney bookings, who equally "hinted" at this.

Am I correct in assuming that no 4/3 deal has been officially announced yet for early 2010? That being said, are there any substantive rumors or sources as to where all of these comments/posts are coming from (even with the disney booking people?).

Or, is it mere speculation based off of nothing more than it was done early this year too?

It's probably a good bet that Disney will come out with some sort of offer for the winter months. And if I were to guess, I would speculate that it would be announced some time after the booking window for the current Free Dining offer closes on 9/26.

Now, there are all kinds of rumors that this next offer will be a 4/3 deal. However, they are just conjecture. Remember the much anticipated August 12th announcement? Everyone was convinced that it was a 4/3 offer for the winter month. It turned out to be that Disney has changed the ADR booking window to 180 days!

Disney will leak information about announcements but until they actually make the announcement, nothing is a sure thing.

When Disney does a 4/3 offer, is that just for accommodations, or does it include park tickets? What about the water park & more option?

The rumors of another 4/3 seem to have two main sources - the Podcast, and the disappearing/reappearing 4/3 banner on the WDW site (same thing happened before the free dining offer - it popped up, vanished, was an invalid link, before the deal was available). I agree with the previous poster that we're not likely to see anything announced until after 9/26 when the free dining offer ends.

The 4/3 deal was room & park tickets - pay for 4 nights and 4 day tickets, get 3 extra nights and 3 extra days on your tickets for free. It has no effect on the water parks or hopper add-ons, because those are a flat fee regardless of the duration of the ticket.

I, too, am leaning toward thinking that it may be a 4/3 deal, since free dining is the current offer and in this economy, room discounts alone aren't going to fill the hotel. Part of the circulating rumor was that it was 4/3 again, but more complicated. Make of that what you will! It's already pretty complicated as far as I'm concerned! :)

that the number of visits to the water parks/disney quest was dependent on how many days on your ticket. :confused3

The Disney Quest and water parks are an add on..

I can tell you from memory how much it is for a 7 night trip too... because I keep having to uncheck it every single time I am looking at prices for Feb!

Yes, but the previous 4/3 deal did not include any kind of discount for adding the Waterpark Fun & More option to the passes.

BTW - The WpF&M addon costs the same regardless of the number of days on the original pass. The only difference is the actual number of entitlements that get added to the pass when you include WpF&M on the pass.

That drives me nuts! :headache:
