Need some AP help

We just got back from DL and had a blast, which I will post about in a minute. Thank you for all your help! We decided to buy APs while were were down there and DH has already decided that a December trip is in order!

I know that there are special AP4 rates in November/December. Are all the hotels already sold out for these rates during that time? I know I need to call to find out specifically, but I'm wondering what people are finding as far as availability. Also, how many time a year to do they offer these kinds of rates?

I know about the food and merchandise discounts and the free parking (we have premiums). Anything else I should know?

Here has been my experience. I call and I can't get AP4 rates. I book a room anyway using a postcard I got which is very good but not as good as AP4. I then call back several times to change to AP4 rates: No. No. Nyet. Nil. No. Nada. Nicht. Nein. No. Nothing. No. No again. Again No. Then somebody says "Why, yes." And there you have it. Yesterday I was finally able to change a GC reservation for sept 29th-oct 2nd to $199/night. Hurray. So if at first you don't succeed, try, try again and again and again. And don't take "Iyeh" for an answer.

Exception: The week of Thanksgiving is out of bounds.

The AP4 rates have been booking up fast. Definitely call today and see if your dates are available. If none are, keep calling back. People cancel reservatiosn all the time. I believe DL has ammended the dates which AP4 rates are available. the new dates are Sep 3 -18th and November 14th - December 15th.
