Need some advice.

Hi everyone. I'm looking to go to Universal for a few days and maybe try to go to disney for a day in Jan and i need some advice. In all of ur experiences which hotels offer the best shuttle options to Universal. I would stay at a Universal hotel but I don't have the money for that right now.. Maybe next trip! Just wanted everyone's thoughts on what hotels offer the best shuttle to universal. Thanks!

The hotels on Major Blvd. are within walking distance. Perhaps those would work best for you.

I have stayed at the Best Western Plus Universal off of Vineland/Major. It was about a 20 minute (1 mile) walk for me. They had a shuttle (run by an outside service) that left at 8 and 10 am every morning and returned at 6 or 8pm (times may vary with park hours-not sure). You had to sign up in the lobby and the van loaded in the order of signups. I found it most convenient to sign up for the morning shuttle and then walk back whenever I was done for the day. It was a long walk back at the end of the day when your feet are already tired. There is a Starbucks, a Walgreens, a Burger King, and a couple of restaurants just across the parking lot. It was an OK hotel and convenient.
