Experts, please help me figure out a plan. Because of other plans already pretty much set in stone, we (me and two teens) have one day (Saturday, February 22) that we can do to Universal. We are staying on Disney property so would be taking a cab, most likely.

Priority is HP World. How bad is it likely to be, not being able to stay on property for the early entrance? I have read about buying some sort of front of the line pass (we already have one day tickets) - can someone explain?

Also, is there a list somewhere of which attractions should be done in which order?

And finally, do any of the restaurants take reservations (and is it too late for reservations)?

Thanks for any and all advice!

Shouldnt be too bad.Get to the park gate before opening.head right to HP world .Do ollivanders wand show first , then Forbidden journey. The other 2 rides arent too bad. From there hit Marvel and spiderman and hulk coaster.
Express passes are available for purchase and are good for one ride per eligible attraction. They are not good for Ollivanders or Forbidden journey. If you are interested in them , wait till you get to the park to see if you actually need it.They are date specific, park specific and completely NON-refundable.
Reservations are not neccessary , but can be made at opentable.com

If you are at IoA, I would recommend eating at the Three Broomsticks in the WWoHP and at Mythos. Mythos is where you might want to make reservations at. It does not usually stay open very late either, maybe 4 or 5 pm.... maybe Mythos for lunch and the 3B for supper...

Thanks for the replies. It is too bad the express pass does not work for Forbidden Journey - that would probably seal the deal.

I should probably also say that we are planning to do a short day here - we are doing the Princess half marathon at Disney (at 4 am) the next day. So the plan is to be at Universal early, hit Harry Potter World (the primary reason for venturing from Disney) and then a quick run-through of Hulk and Spiderman and whatever thrill rides I am forgetting (the kids only on all but Spiderman). Any tips about the best order to do these? Thinking it will be about 2 pm. (after HP and lunch at 3 Broomsticks).

Mythos sounds perfect for an early dinner - and they have lots of availability (hopefully a good sign that it won't be too crowded).

Another question - looking at the map of IofA, it looks like the best way to get from the entrance to HP is through Seuss and the Lost Continent - is that right? No back entrance that would be closer to HP?
