Background:

Three families traveling for a Magical Gathering. All three families booking MYW w/Dinning. 6 adults and 4 children (2yr - 5yrs).

I know having such a large group that if we want to eat together that we need to do PS. We are there 4 nights (splitting vacation with Universal..gasp. :rotfl: )

Dilemma: I have done much research on our dinning options, but I'm stuck.
Using the Unofficial Guide to pick parks, I'm thinking this.

Sun: AK w/PS for Rainforest Cafe Dinner
Mon: MK w/PS for Whispering Canyon
Tue: EP w/ PS ???
Wed: MGM w/ PS for 50's Prime Time
Thur: PS: Chef Mickey's Breakfast rest of day open. Changing hotels later that day.

We will have transportation so going from place to place will be easy, I just want to pick out the best places for us. So anybody have suggestions for our Tuesday spot? Should we do the Chef Mickeys Tuesday Morning and leave Thur open? I was thinking with such a large dinner at Whispering Canyon we may not want to do Chef Mickey's first thing the next morning before heading out to Epcot and "Mission Space". :earboy2: Even though Thursday wouldn't be covered under our dinning plan, I thought the Charcter Breakfast would be a good farewell to Disney. I've looked at the menus for Ohana and Boma, but I just don't know.

Thanks guys! :flower:

Epcot Teppanyaki!!! Good variety...great "show" Great for those who aren't adventerous eaters as well!

The Oktoberfest in Germany has entertainment (but not characters) and the kids can participate.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I don't see either of those places listed on the dinning plan though. Bummer. We don't have to eat dinner in Epcot, we just happen to be going there that day.

We will have hopping on our tickets, so we could even go to another park if need be.

Thanks again!

I highly recommend LeCellier steakhouse in Canada. We just got back and had dinner there--absolutely delicious. Food and service are both excellent, but be advised it is a signature dining so you use 2 table service coupons on the dining plan (well worth it, though)

Enjoy,
Marc

From Epcot it wouldn't be too far to walk to Cape May in the Beach Club for dinner. Will the Garden Grill be open when you are there? That might be another place you could consider...

Oh yum, that sounds good too (LeCellier)!

Just read about the Garden Grill that has a Charcter Dinner. Is that one any good? Though maybe I could swap that out for Chef Mickeys and kill two birds with one stone. ;)

(My group is so glad I'm the one doing this. They are all really looking forward to this and keep telling me what a good job I'm doing. Man I hope it stays that way once we get there!! LOL.)

How about Norway for dinner on Tuesday? I didnt see what dates you are going but they are starting a Character Dinner there soon and the food is a good variety and yummy

The food is Garden Grill is good and the salad is awesome. It is made from things grown in the greenhouse at the Land pavilion. The restaurant rotates and if you are seated on the lower level you can see parts of the Living with the Land ride. The character interaction was great--it was Mickey, Chip and Dale dressed in overalls--very cute. I don't know if I would trade it for Chef Mickey's, though. We did a Grand Gathering last year with DH's family and they loved Chef Mickey's. Garden Grill is served family-style so there is not nearly as many choices as the buffet at CM.
