Need ressies prior for Grill's?

Is this the restaurant where you can watch the Disney ships leave port and go out to sea?

I told DH that we're going to take a day trip up to Port Canaveral to see the Magic or the Wonder this summer.

We got there around 4:00 and it was pretty busy on a Sat evening... Live music and great atmosphere. We managed to get a table for the 10 of us inside pretty quick. We ate dinner and then went out to watch the ships leave. There is a great little park area right next to the restaurant where you can sit out and watch all the ships leave!! It was so exciting to see the Magic set sail. Really was a great start to our trip.... They even honk the "When you wish upon a star" horn at everyone watching. SO FUN! The kids just loved it!!

We stayed at the Radisson the night before and it was also wonderful...Great pool area....

Hi Barbara:
We made reservations but it IS A ZOO later in the evening. VERY busy. We had a good time but what they permit is you to call and put your name in (as though you were at the restaurant) and instead of waiting in the bar you can relax at your resort before heading over.
That said it was SO busy that we still waited a long time.

We didn't go til around 7:30 - 8:00 pm and in the future would go much earlier.

Don't forget to use the discount coupon on the Grill's site!!

We were at Grills this past weekend. We arrived at 4:30pm and only had a 5 min wait for a party of 4 for a table inside (AC)
The kids had a great time watching both the Magic and a Carnival ship sailing past .

We were at the Beach Club at WDW this weekend for my Birthday and I told hubby what I really wanted was to drive to Port Canaveral on Saturday and have dinner at Grill's and watch my Magic leaving......I just got the LOOK!!! He more than made up for it over the weekend!!

We were at Grills this past saturday as well. I don't remember exactly what time, but about 15 minutes after we sat down, the Glory sailed by. I took my two boys outside to see it. It sounded its horn, and we heard the Magic Sound its back. Right after we finished we went outside and stood on the boat ramp and watched the Magic sail by. It is incredible that those ships are so silent and make so little waves. The sad thing was the Magic didn't blow its horn again.
