Hi Everyone! :)

I know that there are two other options for where I can post this, but I wanted to talk to my podcast friends first. As Pete said, I have a warm place in my heart for this section of the boards.

We are beginning to plan a trip during Jersey Week in November. It will be my boyfriend and I plus another couple. I am a DVC member and we will be using points for the trip. We are going to get a one bedroom villa so everyone will fit comfortably.

After looking at dates and crunching some numbers, I have come up with the following options. Which would you go with? Why? I have only stayed at our home resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and will stay at Old Key West with two girlfriends of mine for a few days in March.

Option A: Old Key West
Option B: Board Walk (Boardwalk View or Other???)
Option C: Animal Kingdom Lodge
Option D: Beach Club

I'd go with option D Beach Club. My reasoning is pretty simple...Jersey Week is usually during the end of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. Being able to walk to World Showcase from the Beach Club would be an awesome benefit. Of course, getting the Beach Club during Food & Wine at the 7 month booking window can be tough. Good luck! :)

Jersey Week this year is the first week in November. Isn't Food & Wine closed then?

UPDATE: Just double-checked and last year's was through November 9. Interesting thought! We'll be there 11/3-11/7. Isn't this when the Christmas stuff is put up too?

I'm a little partial to OKW. I love it there, and the rooms are bigger. With 2 couples, there would be more room in the livingroom for all your luggage and stuff. But, Aaron has a good point about the F&WF, too!

Rooms in OKW are big, but I would still pick BCV. You just can't beat the location. A short walk to EPCOT's back door and a boat ride to HS. Just love it.

Boardwalk or the Beachclub would get my vote though I agree with ADP that it will be challenging to get during F&W.

I should have read first and not voted first. I love AKL for the pure animal factor but I think since that is also F&W time I would go with BCV or BWV. We love the location and BWV are our second favorite resort second to AKL. BCV cant be beat for the pool and location. Have fun!!!

As you can tell from my screen name, I'm partial to OKW.

The 1BR unit at OKW is much larger than what you'll get at any of the other choices. And the jacuzzi is much larger too.

Since you're traveling with another couple you may want to request a room in building #30 or higher so that you get the separate door into the master bath through the laundry room. The lower numbered buildings don't have this door which means that anybody going to the bathroom has to enter from the master bedroom.

Good point. How will that affect the bus route though? I'd like to be near one of the first stops so we always get seats.

I picked this option for the same reason. We are AKL lovers but we really enjoyed our stay at BC last year (so much so, that we're looking at small BCV resales.:goodvibes). Strolling into Epcot in a matter of minutes is amazing. We've stayed at OKW and it's just not for us. I would definitely go for BCV or BWV. :thumbsup2

I haven't stayed at any of these (I am on a value budget) but if I could choose where from these it would be Beach Club. All I can say is location, location, location. In fact I think if I could stay anywhere on property this would be in the top two with the Poly... I would have to say those two are a tie and I would split my trip between the two.

i've only stayed at AKL out of those you listed and it was great, but it's a long drive everywhere. I agree the BC would be a wise choice or BW second for the proximity to Epcot with F&W going on.

Why not the VWL? I'm curious as to why that's not a choice. Obviously, I'm partial, but I'm wondering why?

If I only have the choices listed above, I'd choose BWV with a Boardwalk view.

I didn't check out the points for VWL. I'll have to look into that too to see if the points are comparable. I'm trying to get a reasonable amount for that particular week.

I vote for a Boardwalk view at BWV. I am looking forward to trying one in 2010!
