No, I don't have a good place to store them, but I keep running into yummy recipes that call for a Food Processor. The price range is startling!

What do you have? What have you had? What would you recommend?

Thanks.

I have a food processor, I'ved used it once in 10 years, too many pieces:crazy: MIL loves hers. I have the KitchenAid stand mixer. I love it. I keep it on the counter in the corner.

I had a food processor and used it about 5 times in the 5 years I owned it...I like chopping/slicing/dicing manually. I'm weird like that. Gave it away and now when the recipe calls for a food processor I use either my mandoline or my own hands and knives.

But I couldn't live without my KitchenAid mixer. I use it at least 3-5 times a week. It's awesome!

Another vote for the KitchenAid mixer! Wonderful!
I've had mine for about 15 years....use it all the time. Great for that cookie making ;)

I have a Sears food processor that is 30 years old. Still works fine. Some things I do use it for, but I don't use it that much.

I use by Salad shooter far more. ...Love that thing. I'm on my second one.

We have a kitchenaid stand mixer we got the pro model as a wedding gift from my parents. It was a mere 375 dollars when they got it for us. We have gotten so much use out of it though it would be money very well spent if you plan on using it very much.

I would be hard pressed to live without either my KitchenAid stand mixer or my Cuisinart food processor. I use both of them frequently.

I love my KitchenAid Stand mixer!

Also I have a Cuisinart Blender/Food Processor. I don't use the food processor that often (I like to chop things myself) but I use the blender almost everyday for smoothies. It's nice having a combo like that.

dang it - knew I shoudl have registered for one of those Kitchenaid mixers when I got married last year!

we bought my mother one for mothers day - IN PINK - yes she wanted a PINK one.

guess I'll inherite that sucker one day. heheheh

I love my Kitchenaid stand mixer. I make everything in it - meatballs, cookies, bread, etc. Mine is the 5qt. 350watt model. I'd really like the new 6qt. 525watt model but I can't justify it. My old one could probably mix concrete if I really needed it to. A little workhorse.

My KitchenAid stand mixer came with a free mini food processor as a GWP.

I really enjoy having both of them. I'm looking into a full sized foor processor but if I had to choose on I wouldn't give up my stand mixer. I use it WAY more than I thought I would.

I got it as an Xmas gift. I think my parents got it at Kohl's on sale with the GWP.

I don't have a food processor so I can't help you there, but I will agree with everyone else about a stand mixer. Kitchen Aid wins hands down.

We also have a kitchenaid stand mixer which FINALLY came out of its box (got it as a wedding present 6 years ago and had nowhere to store it out of the box) that I am looking forward to using one of these days and a cuisinart food processor (the 11 cup version). The food processor is great for making things like homemade pesto and potato latkes for chanukah and various other dishes that require things to be shredded finely. I should think about using it to chop onions and stuff more often but I also find it therapudic to chop stuff... but I HATE shredding.

I have a Kitchenaid 4.5 quart 250 watts model and love it. However, I've made a couple of batches of brioche and the motor hasn't been the same. Also, the bowl is a bit too small to make 2 loaves of bread. I've been eying a 6 quart model with more power.

I think the food processor is better machine for biscuits and pie doughs but since I make them very rarely, I can't justify the cost.

I've had my kitchen aid for a LOT of years and it is GREAT.

Highly recommend it.

I have a Sears food processor. It works ok for what I need it. My daughter works in an upscale restaurant and her expensive Food Processor broke. They didn’t have time to go out and get a new one so she took my Sears Model to work. They did give her the “look” because it wasn’t a fancy pants one but she didn’t care, she needed it that day. Little thing came through like a trooper. $36 at Sears in 1980 was well worth the $$.

But my expensive kitchen aid is worth it's weight in gold! The only thing is when I bought mine, there were no fancy colors available. I'd like either a pink or blue one instead of the generic white.

You guys missed the deal of the century on Sunday! QVC had the big 525 watt Kitchen Aids as the deal of the day for $296! And they had it on easy pay (4 equal payments) and it came in every color! I didn't have a stand mixer, but I will now! :Pinkbounc

I bought mine from QVC's today special value as well 2 years ago. It was my b'day present to myself, mine's cobalt blue.
