Hi! We normally stay at the Disneyland hotel when we visit. Unfortunately this year we won't be able to do this, can anyone reccomend a great place to stay that is situated across the street from the parks? Perferable somewhere clean, close by and somewhere that somehow captures the magic, even though we aren't in the park..... Thank you so much!!

It's my new favorite. It was almost directly in front of the Disneyland entrance. A 5 minute walk to the main gates of both DL and DCA. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very good size. It had 2 queen beds and a love seat that pulled out into another bed. It also had a small refridgerator. The room was spotless. We had a room that had a great view of Disneyland and DCA. There was a family style restaurant located on the premises and a McDonalds adjacent that delivers to your room. The Marriott website quotes the standard room (which is what we had) at $69. per night. I whole-heartedly recommend this hotel.

We'll be staying at the Westcoast Anaheim for the first time. Out TA spoke very highly of it after we mentioned we'd like to stay there. There are many rooms with a Resort view and they are very nice about trying to fulfill your request.

Take a look at the Offsite resorts page on <a href="http://www.mouseplanet.com/dtp/offsite/2_dl/dl_offsite.htm" target="blank">MousePlanet</a>.

Thanks! What is the Farifield Marriott next to? How about the Westcoast Anahiem? What other places would be the closest to the parks besides staying at a Disney property?

I want to say that the Fairfield is next to the Park Vue Inn, but I'm not positive. Many people around here recommend the Candy Cane. I've never stayed there myself. There are SOOO many options around Disneyland. The hotels in the area offer so many incentives and are just as close as the " Official" hotels. At a much better price.

The Fairfield Inn is close to the freeway, next to the Howard Johnson's, behind McDonalds. It's closer to walk from the Fairfield Inn to the main gates, than it is to walk from the Disneyland Hotel to the main gates....

Ask for a room with a view of the park, and you will see the various attractions peeking out above the trees, and maybe even the fireworks!

Very clean hotel, great customer service... you can't go wrong.

Have also stayed at the WestCoast Anaheim awhile back. I prefer the Fairfield, but the WC Anaheim was nice too. If you get a room with a view of the parks, you will see the back portion of the California Adventure. If you are interested in WestCoast Anaheim or the Anaheim Marriott (not Fairfield), you might want to try priceline. Lots of people are getting those 2 hotels for $35/nt on Priceline, and both are rated 3*s.

Wow great prices! Where is the Anaheim Marriott located?

Does anyone know if there is a map available of the accomodations around the Disneyland area? THis could help in deciding!

The fairfield inn is excellent in all ways. There are many times coupons avalable to lower the rate from $69.00.

Maybe this map will help you with the placement of the hotels.

DH & I stayed at the Park Inn (it use to be Park Inn International) in June 01. It was very nice, clean and within a 2min. walk to the crosswalk that takes you on to Disney property. When we opened our room door we had a view of the matterhorn. The pool is small but we didn't care to swim on this trip so it wasn't a problem.

Their site is http://www.tropicanainn-anaheim.com/index.htm

I hope this helps.

Before we could afford to stay on property, we used to always stay at the Castle Inn & Suites. It is two doors down from Tony Roma's -- just outside of the main gates. It's very clean and has all of the basic ammenities. The prices were very good -- especially if you wanted two rooms with a door dividing them (a suite.)
