After a week on Springbreak with my 3 children (1,4,6) I am tweaking my ADRS to perfect earlier times and most kid friendly. We are doing dxdp and will eat 2-3 ts a day (splitting meals when not at buffets). We like the break of relaxing in AC and will eat frequent small meals. I orginally planned on Narcoossees for the lobster (my kids love seafood) but I am afraid that they will act up so DH convinced me to do 1900 PF. Will we have good time?

they will definitely have a good time but the food was only so so to me even though im not a picky person. HOwever i did enjoy the soft serve ice cream. I say keep this reservation for the kids.

Your kids will have a wonderful time. 1900 Park Fare is one of my favorites. We have it booked for our first night, we just can't wait. I have to disagree with the poster above me - I LOVE the food there. It is a wide selection and everything was delicious.

We were there in February and I found the food to be really bad at 1900PF. I am not a huge fan of buffets but found it to be the least favorite of three buffets we had: 1900PF, CM, Biergarten. If your main objective is the characters then it is great, but I found the food to be barely edible. I really hated the loud speaker announcement of the characters. It just seemed too cookie cutter.

There is a huge difference between Narcosse and PF. I wouldn't worry about the kids acting up. I am going to assume you don't have savage children who should not be brought out in public. You are in WDW, so kids are welcome/expected practically everywhere. Just don't bring over tired crabby children and you will be fine at any (except V&A) WDW dining.

From what I've looked at it sounds like a great meal! We are doing it at 8:25pm on 6/12 after a full day of Sea World. I hope my DD doesn't melt down! I bet your DD will have loads of fun. :)

Hard for me to imagine a 6, 4, or 1 yr old acting up... unless very tired. Narcoosees was fine for us and DS4. It is reasonably quiet there but not silent, there's a walkway on the water right outside the restaurant that we walked DS on between courses to give him a mid meal break for a few minutes.

If you can't do both.... 1900 Park Fare Dinner would probably be more fun for the kids. But there you will have to worry about Drizella and Anastasia acting up! The videos on you tube show they are a lot of troublesome fun at dinner! Never been to 1900 for dinner, only breakfast... but going next trip and we can't wait! Met the step sisters at the halloween party and we are looking forward to dining with them.

Here they are carrying on about DS not wanting to wear his costume, repeatedly whining (the stepsisters are whining) "I don't want to be a pirrrrraaaate". DS was laughing and not bothered by the teasing.

And a delightful pose for the camera!

I wasn't a fan of the food at 1900PF's dinner buffet, but loved the entertainment of the characters! Personally I'd keep that over Narcoossee's.

We ate & both of these places last year. The stepsisters at PF are alot of fun. They can be a little loud and the food wasn't that great. The people at the table next to us actaully called the manager over & were complaining that the sisters act was too much. We enjoyed it though - thought it was funny. At Narcossee's we expected it to be more strict & upscale then it was. We dressed up, but there were people wearing short shorts, not dressed up at all. There were many people there with kids. I'm sure your kids would be fine there - but you know them best. Have a good time no matter what you choose. :goodvibes

Make sure you try the Strawberry Soup!

We have always found the food to be good at 1900 Park Fare. And of course the characters are the big appeal to the restaurant. :) It's a lot of fun.

And yes, do try the strawberry soup! It's SO good! :goodvibes

Thanks for all the responses. We are doing California Grill with them as well so we want to make sure that we are not miserable several nights in a row. I think they will enjoy it more and honestly I think DH would rather go to 1900 since he is not into seafood .

I work in education and we expect our children to behave- but we also try not to bore them to death. We are doing deluxe so we will have lots of ts meals and we are trying to limit the ones that are more grown up and yet still have some good food- which is unfortunatly hard to do--- why can't disney do both??????:rolleyes1
